An Open Letter To My Ex Boyfriend
Dear Ex boyfriend:
You always had terrible timing.
And today is no exception.
I know that you know this weekend was tough for me. You probably heard me crying alone in my bed from a state away. What, you may ask, brought on this sudden slew of tears? Could it have been the little knick knacks I found around the house you bought me when we were dating? Perhaps it was the love notes that I found peeking out from under my bed.
Whatever it was that caused this emotional fissure in my life.
It was not an invitation for you to text me.
It was definitely not an invitation for you to text me about my ‘eternal love for people and knowledge’.
I am trying my hardest. To put myself back together again.
And it is proving much harder than I anticipated.
